The Southern Review is saddened by the sudden death of contributor Eavan Boland. The reach of her work has touched readers for decades and, in addition to the beautiful poetry, inspired many of them to learn more about Ireland. During poetry month in 2011, our poetry editor noted that one of Boland’s poems was in her Top 5.
