Alison Louise Harney was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and earned an MFA in poetry from UNC-Wilmington. Her poems have appeared in Prairie Schooner, The Iowa Review, and The Southeast Review. She is a PEN prison writing mentor and the creator of Writing Room ATL.
