Amaud Jamaul Johnson is the author of Darktown Follies, Red Summer, and the recently published Imperial Liquor. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow in Poetry, his honors include a Pushcart Prize, the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award for Poetry, a MacDowell Colony Fellowship, and the Dorset Prize. His work has appeared in The American Poetry Review, Narrative, and The Best American Poetry 2014. He teaches at the University of Wisconsinâ€“Madison.
