Benjamín Naka-Hasebe Kingsley belongs to the Onondaga Nation of Indigenous Americans in New York. He is the author of Not Your Mama’s Melting Pot, Colonize Me, and Dēmos, forthcoming from Milkweed Editions. A recipient of several fellowships, his work has been published in Native Voices, FIELD, and Oxford American. He is an assistant professor at Old Dominion University.
