Beth Ann Fennelly is the director of
the MFA program at the University of Mississippi, where she was named Liberal
Arts Outstanding Teacher of the Year. She has received a grant from the
National Endowment for the Arts, won a Pushcart prize, and been included in the
Best American Poetry series three times. She has published three books of
poetry, a book of essays, and a novel, The Tilted World, which she
cowrote with her husband, writer Tom Franklin.
