Canaan Morse is a literary translator and poet,
pursuing a PhD in imperial Chinese literature at Harvard. His translations of
poems by Yang Xiaobin, He Qifang, and several other poets have been published
in The
Kenyon Review, The Baffler, and Asymptote. His translation of Ge
Fei’s novel The
Invisibility Cloak won the Susan Sontag Award for Translation.
Cofounder of Pathlight: New Chinese Writing, he coedited the
anthology We
Agree on Nothing: New Writing from China, and currently serves as
Editor-in-Chief of Books from Taiwan.
