Breese Davis (1924–2002) published poems in Poetry, The New Yorker,
The Paris Review, and this journal between 1950 and 1998. A collection
of her poems, accompanied by an interview about her life and essays about her
work, edited by Martha Collins, Kevin Prufer, and Martin Rock, will be
published in Pleiades Press’s Unsung Masters series this June.
