Daniel Halpern, the author of nine poetry books, was the editor of Antaeus and publisher of Ecco, and he received the 2015 Maxwell Perkins Award for editorial excellence. With James Michener, he founded The National Poetry Series. He now serves as an executive editor at Knopf.
