James Lee Burke has published thirty-seven
novels and two story collections. His novel The Lost Get-Back Boogie was nominated for a
Pulitzer Prize. His work has received two Edgar Awards for best novel. He is
also a Guggenheim Fellow and a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts
grant and a Bread Loaf fellowship. In 2009 he was named a Grand Master by the
Mystery Writers of America.
