Khal
Torabully is a prize-winning poet, semiologist, and film director from
Mauritius who has authored numerous books of essays and poetry. He coined the
term coolitude, which reexamines the
relationship between “memories and imaginaries,†and which led to the creation
of the UNESCO Indentured Labour Route Project.
