Noël Devaulx (born François Forgeot, 1905–1995) was a career engineer, a man of great culture, a lover of the circus arts, and a secret master of the twentieth-century French fantastique. His received the Prix des critiques and the Grand prix de la Société des Gens de lettres for his body of work.
