Peter Mountford’s first novel, A
Young Man’s Guide to Late Capitalism, won the 2012 Washington State Book
Award. His second novel, The Dismal Science, was published earlier this
year. His essays and short fiction have appeared in the New York Times
Magazine, The Atlantic, and Granta. He lives in Seattle,
where he is the 2013–14 writer-in-residence at the Richard Hugo House.
