Sarah Matsui is the winner of the 2021 Sewanee Review Nonfiction Contest, the 2022 Fractured Lit Contest, and the 2023 Bread Loaf Katharine Bakeless Nason Award. Her poems have appeared in the San Francisco Asian Art Museum, The Seventh Wave, and Pleiades. She is currently working on her debut essay collection.
