Sergio Mansilla Torres was born in Chiloé, Chile,
in 1958. He completed his PhD at the University of Washington and is a tenured
professor at the Universidad Austral de Chile in Valdivia. Translations of his
poems have appeared in Lunch Ticket, Journal of Literary
Translation,
and Michigan Quarterly Review. The poems herein are from
Quercún.
