Valerie Sayers teaches at Notre Dame and is the author of six novels. Her honors include a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and two Pushcart prizes. Her novels have appeared on “notable books” lists at the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, and the Washington Post. The film Due East, based on her first two novels, premiered on Showtime.
